the OG overnight oatmeal (gfo)
These are the most awesome breakfast, lunch, and heck even dinner jars. Even better? They can last up to 8 DAYZ!! Meaning you can make 8 of these bad boys, let them hang in the fridge and your breakfast making mornings are over!
⅓ cup Greek yogurt, plain
½ cup gluten-free rolled oats
⅔ cup unsweetened almond milk, or milk of choice!
1 tbsp chia seeds, or ground flax seeds
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 to 2 tbsp honey, or agave syrup, pure maple syrup
Pinch of salt
Layer in each of the ingredients in the order listed above for a nice picturesque blast look.
Toss in the fridge for AT LEAST 4 hours, but preferably overnight...duh. This will ensure maximum chia seed or flax meal absorption and make your oatmeal jar really gooey and yummy!
Always Always Always, make it your own! Add nuts, other seeds, chocolate/white chocolate/peanut butter/whatever chips, add granola, add chocolate milk! Go crazy!
